Organ concert performed by Hermann Nitsch
Hermann Nitsch performs one of his famous organ concerts at the nitsch museum, which were already occasionally performed in the Mozarteum in Salzburg, at the Bruckner's residence in Vienna, at the MUMOK in Vienna, in the Church of the Holy Cross (Heiligenkreuzkirche) in Berlin, in the Teatro di Corte del Palazzo Reale in Naples and on the Bruckner Organ in the Collegiate Basilica of St. Florian.
In accordance with Nitsch’s opinion in regards to his musical works: “First of all, my concern was to emphasize the pre-lingual gesture, cry of pleasure, death cry and ecstasy. My music originated from the scream, the noise. Music is extremely important for my synthesis of the arts. I frequently suffer from the fact that many people believe that there is some kind of background noise in my 6-day-play and therefore, I am so glad that there are concert performances like these.” (Hermann Nitsch)
