Nitsch meets Köhlmeier

Under the title »Nitsch meets ...« Hermann Nitsch regularly invites famous personalities to Mistelbach to exchange thoughts. The event series begins in July 2015 with the author Michael Köhlmeier - who is famour for his novels but also for his re-narrations of Greek Mythology. As Greek Mythology also play an important role in the Orgien Mysterien Theater, created by Hermann Nitsch, it will stand in the center of the discussion.

At the beginning of the event Michael Köhlmeier will give an introduction in Greek Mythology, followed by a discussion between him and Hermann Nitsch, which will be moderated by Michael Fleischhacker, chief editor of nzz.at. At 6 p.m. (before the start of the event) the visitor can take part in a guided tour around the Dionysosweg, which is located directly behint the museum.
If the weather is fine, the event will take place on the piazza outside the nitsch museum.
Michael Köhlmeier
born 1949 in Hard am Bodensee, lives as an author in Hohenems / Vorarlberg and Vienna. Numerous novels, narrations, audio dramas, songs. Also very successfull as a narrator of the regionals sagas and Greek Mythology. Hanser published die novels Abendland (2007) and Madaly (2010), the lyric collection Der Liebhaber bald nach dem Frühstück (Edition Lyrik Kabinett 2012) and die novels Die Abenteuer des Joel Spazierer (2013) and Zwei Herren am Strand (2014).
