Workshop: Flachdruck - Monotypie
Printing Workshop
A monotype is created by applying a thin layer of ink or paint with rollers onto a smooth, non-absorbent surface. The image is then transferred onto paper using a printing press, resulting in a unique work of art (a one-of-a-kind print). The term derives from the Greek word mono, meaning “single” or “unique.” Since the printing plate itself does not contain a repeatable image, it is impossible to produce an identical second print.
